MJCarty snapshots February 2025

Batman, frost and a Valentine’s moon. A few personal highlights from February 2025, captured in tiny wee snapshots.

This is my latest monthly selection of snapshots of things that caught my eye over these past few weeks, comprising the month of February 2025 (but starting with an image from January 2025).

Wednesday 15 January 2025: Behatted Conan Doyle

We start with a picture from last month, as I realised that I took it with every intention of including it in my January photographic round-up, but then didn’t. This is a picture of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle in statue form, and sporting a hat that someone had generously gifted him to help with the winter chill. I also used this picture to illustrate my blog post Have you sufficiently weighed the possibilities?

Saturday 1 February 2025: Batsketch

Rough sketch of Batman in black, green and blue (with a hint of orange in there, too) by MJCarty.

Speedy, scribbly Batman sketch.

Monday 3 February 2025: Frosted world

Frosted sunrise.

A frosted window onto a frosted world.

Saturday 8 February 2025: Together

A photograph with the word "Together" superimposed over it. The photograph comes from Wikimedia Commons, where it has the following title: "Holding hands - Egyptian statue - Berlin".

“Each moment that you have the privilege to spend together with a loved one is something to cherish as it happens. There will only be so many of these moments.” Words from my blog post Together.

Friday 14 February 2025: Valentine’s moon

The snow moon starts to think about setting, as glimpsed through trees on my very freezing cold early morning walk on Valentine’s day.

Saturday 15 February 2025: Truly gorgeous

A truly gorgeous winter sunrise.
