The five most-read posts of 2025 on MJCarty.com. My heartfelt gratitude to you if you have taken the time to read any words on this wee blog of mine.
With 2025 very nearly done, here’s a quick look back at the words I’ve put out this year and – if readership stats mean anything at all – rounding up the posts that seem to have resonated the most with the reading public (that is, the minute proportion of the global reading public that might ever happen upon my words, of course).
MJCarty.com: The top 5 posts of 2025
(1) Recovery will not be rushed

For any soul on any kind of road to recovery, it will prove a long and arduous process. But sticking with this path might be the only route to positive transformation.
(2) Nirvana live in London 1989 (#GigTicketMemories)

Gig ticket-inspired memories from my first ever grunge gig… plus my surprise discovery 36 years later that there exists a photograph with both Kurt Cobain and me in the same frame!
(3) We bought our career for thirty quid

The idea is the most important thing, not the equipment you use to execute it. You can build something new or create your career with next to nothing.
(4) The life you always wanted

How close is the life that you are living now to the life that you always wanted?
(5) MJCarty art: The 90s collection

A small selection of drawings and paintings I did towards the end of the last century.
If you are reading this post on or near to the day it goes out into the world, might I please take this opportunity to wish you a superlative and peaceful festive season? I will be back next Saturday (27 December 2025) with my final post for this year.
May you be nothing but kind today, to others and to yourself.
May today be nothing but kind to you and yours.
