Down but never out

If today feels too much… You can and will make it through this current testing moment. The sun will return.

If today feels unnerving for you. If today feels like a day when you don’t know how you will make it through. If today feels too much.

Take a breath, please.

If you can, try to give yourself a moment’s peace of mind, a moment to reflect. I hope it will prove true that things now are nowhere near as bad as they might first seem, or indeed as bad as they might have been when times were at their worst.

No matter how many times you have found yourself in this testing place, each new time can feel like this is the time when things are finally too much.

All being well, things will improve again very soon. Or perhaps they are already so much better than they might immediately seem. The sun will return.

When good times return, the moment in which you find yourself now will not have been any less real. But it will be another time that you have made it through.

There have been days like this before. And there is every chance that there will be again.

You have made it through so many challenging times before now. You will make it through so many more challenging times down the line. You can and will make it through this current testing moment. Down but never out.

May you be nothing but kind today, to others and to yourself.

May today be nothing but kind to you and yours.
