There will be many versions of you in this one lifetime. What version of you will you leave behind in the hearts and minds of others?
Many lifetimes in this one lifetime.* Many versions of you.
No matter the age that you have reached by the time you read these words, it is unlikely in the extreme that the you of this moment will be the final version of you.
At every moment of your life, you find yourself in a process of constant, unending change. If you are fortunate you will learn and grow as a result of at least some of these ever-occurring, ever-renewing moments of change.
The version of you that they met

If there are many lifetimes in this one lifetime, there will also be many versions of you that you will leave behind.
But that does not mean that each old version of you that you leave behind will necessarily cease to exist.
There will be so many people that you meet in this one lifetime, in these many lifetimes. There will come a moment with each and every one of these people that will prove to be the final moment that you spend together.
For some of these people, the version of you that they met, that they knew, will live on in their hearts and minds.
The version of you that you were to them will remain with them. While you will continue to grow and to change, their memory of you will likely be tied to a particular moment in your life that you yourself have left behind.
What will you leave behind with each of these people? What version of you will you leave behind in the hearts and minds of others? What will they remember of how you treated or spoke to them? What will be their lasting memory of you?
May you be nothing but kind today, to others and to yourself.
May today be nothing but kind to you and yours.
