Sometimes all that is needed to transform your life and make lasting, positive change is the belief of just one soul. One person who recognises your value and what you have to offer the world.
I would like to believe that this is true for every one of us, that we have each of us met or come to know that one soul. Or if it has not been true for you yet, that it will be sometime soon.
Look back on your own life, and those profound and joyous moments when it all changed for the better. Who was or is that one soul who believed in you when you needed it most?

That one soul might be a partner, friend or loved one. They might have swept into your life, transforming everything in an instant, as the first rays of sun appear to spark beautiful jewels of light on snow at dawn. Or perhaps their presence and what they meant or mean to you – how they expressed or express their belief in you – might have grown over time.
That one soul might be someone who believed in you enough to give you that one shot in life. It could be something as big as an offer of a job or of work, or as small as an encouraging word or smile from a friend or even a stranger.
Just one soul believing in you can make all the difference. That one soul might even be your own. The most powerful and transformative belief is that which starts from within. Self-belief can make all the difference. Even if it takes the words, deeds or love of another soul to show you that you have something worth believing in. Your value – the value of your soul – is always there, and always will be.
