Of mysterious coded messages, vampires and fog… A few personal highlights from December 2024, captured in tiny wee snapshots.
This is my latest monthly selection of snapshots of things that caught my eye over these past few weeks, comprising the month of December 2024 (but starting with an image or two from the final day of November, picking up from the day I published my previous monthly snapshot selection). This will also be my final post for this year, so might I please take this opportunity to wish you a happy new year and an exceptionally good 2025?
Saturday 30 November 2024: Of codes and coins
For at least that last seven or eight years, someone has been leaving these mysterious handwritten coded messages tucked between fence slats on a path in my neighbourhood!
I always wonder who and why.
It had been a long time since I found any coins of the realm while out and about.
But this particular day generously furnished £1.20.
Monday 2 December 2024: Golden hour
For a fleeting moment there, the end of a rainbow appeared as the golden hour (well, minute, at this time of year) sunlight bathed the forest opposite my house.
