Of fangs, forests and frosts. A few personal highlights from November 2024, captured in tiny wee snapshots.
This is my latest monthly selection of snapshots of things that caught my eye over these past few weeks, comprising the month of November 2024.
Thursday 7 November 2024: Vampire dentures

A week on from Halloween
Vampires still walk among us
But some might have mislaid their tiny orange plastic fangs.

Under the oak.
Saturday 9 November 2024: Literary bedfellows

An altogether unlikely combination of books witnessed in the wild at a charity shop today, from Joe Lycett to Boris Johnson via Ruby Wax. And why did these tomes find themselves on the fiction shelf?
x November 2024: Of squirrels and sunsets

In which a squirrel enjoys a rare moment of snacking in my garden.

An MJCarty avec Ashdown Forest sunset.

One further picture of the spectacular Ashdown Forest sunsset.
Saturday 15 November 2024: Time then to decide

“Today is as good a day as any to take a clear-eyed look at where you are in the world, at how you feel about your place in this world, and at whether there are any long put-off decisions that are now due. Now might just be the time.”
These words are from my post Time then to decide, which discusses the US presidential election, deleting Twitter, and Philp Roth’s The Plot Against America.
Monday 18 November 2024: Potentially somewhat disgruntled

On this particular Monday, I found this particular picture of a potentially somewhat disgruntled gent, in a particular charity shop.
It would appear to be hand-painted. My guess is that maybe it is a swiftly done tourist gift shop piece. But a nice find, all the same.
Wednesday 20 November 2024: Befrosted

The sun beckons through a befrosted window.
Thursday 21 November 2024: Cloudscape

A quite stunningly beautiful pre-sunset sky over the Ashdown Forest.
