A few personal highlights from March 2026, captured in tiny wee snapshots.
This is my latest monthly selection of snapshots of things that caught my eye over these past few weeks, comprising the month of March 2026.
Monday 2 March 2026: Illuminated Meg

Meg illuminated by some very lovely sunshine (a la Ashdown Forest).
Wednesday 4 March 2026: Debut daffodil

The first daffodil that I had the privilege to see this year, radiant in the warming sunshine. As witnessed on a birthday walk on the Ashdown Forest.
Thursday 5 March 2026: London at its finest

St Paul’s, the Thames and even a wee bit of sand, as glimpsed while on my way to meet some lovely friends for a post-birthday lunch.
Saturday 7 March 2026: Make it minimal

How did Prince arrive at the playful, minimalistic work of genius that is his 1986 song Kiss? In Subtract almost everything for Kiss, I investigate the making of this masterpiece of minimalistic songcraft.
Wednesday 11 March 2026: Lovely Ashdown

The Ashdown Forest, looking rather fetching in some lovely March sunshine.
Saturday 14 March 2026: Yogic decade

I realised recently that March 2026 marks an entire decade since I first tried yoga. I shared some reflections on what yoga has given me in the post My decade of yoga.

This day also saw some beautiful tones of colour to the sky for a chilly pre-dawn Sussex Saturday morning.

Monday 16 March 2026: Aflame

Monday’s burning sunrise.
Wednesday 18 March 2026: Clarity

Perfect visibility, perfect clarity on an Ashdown Forest walk on the occasion of my wife’s birthday.
Friday 20 March 2026: Atmosphere

I think there’s an incredible sense of atmosphere to this picture, as night slowly loosens its grip on the early-AM skies.
Now: what might April 2026 have in store?
