This is my latest monthly selection of snapshots of things that caught my eye over these past few weeks, comprising the month of July 2025.
Tuesday 1 July 2025: Roses ablaze
Quintet of pink roses. This picture was captured in the first full sunlight of what turned out to be an exceptionally hot first day of the second half of 2025.

After heavy rain, a quite lovely rainbow appeared all too fleetingly.
Tuesday 8 July 2025: Languid feline
This local feline is a frequent visitor to our garden, and is captured here midway through a languorous roll around on our lawn in the early morning sunshine during the early July heatwave.
Thursday 10 July 2025: Ashdown heatwave 
Gentle reader, the above picture is perhaps ineffective in conveying just how blisteringly hot was the weather on the occasion of this, my first visit to the Ashdown Forest in a few months. It felt so good to be back.
Thursday 17 July 2025: Forestbound once more
The skies were beautiful and changing rapidly on this particular mid-July morning. First, the moment of daybreak…

Monday 21 July 2025: Canopy and oryctolagus cuniculus
A quite beautiful canopy of trees.
An Ashdown Forest rabbit (captured in less-than-HD, as I had to zoom in quite a bit to get this wee specimen of oryctolagus cuniculus at large in the mid-distance).
Tuesday 22 July 2025: Froglet
A tiny froglet, perched not upon a lily pad, but on a bag of compost in my garden.
