MJCarty snapshots June 2025

Of epic skies, shade-seeking bees and bathing blackbirds! A few personal highlights from June 2025, captured in tiny wee snapshots.

This is my latest monthly selection of snapshots of things that caught my eye over these past few weeks, comprising the month of June 2025.

Sunday 1 June 2025: First rays

The sun puts in its first appearance of June 2025 over the skies of East Sussex.

Monday 2 June 2025: First strawberry

The first strawberry of this year’s crop from my garden.

Tuesday 3 June 2025: Pre-dawn moods

Subtle and moody shades to the sky as this particular Tuesday thinks about dawning.

Wednesday 4 June 2025: Lemmy’s preferred non-alcoholic tipple?

Quite possibly the single best thing about these warmer months is being able to enjoy an iced Americano each day.

Thursday 5 June 2025: Smallest flower

A beautiful, tiny flower soaking up whatever sun there is to be had amidst this morning’s unrelenting rain.

Friday 6 June 2025: Wee peas in a pod

First peas from my garden in 2025! Probably should have left them to grow a wee bit longer, but I was impatient to try them.

Tuesday 17 June 2025: Roses

Some roses in my garden, enjoying this particular June afternoon

Tuesday 17 June 2025: Bee in the shade

Bee enjoying a brief moment in the shade.

Wednesday 18 June 2025: Blackbird

A blackbird bathes in the birdbath that my wife put out for our local avian friends during this month’s soaring temperatures.

Sunday 22 June 2025: Positively beaming

Immense beams of sunlight as they briefly illuminated the morning’s pre-dawn sky.

Tuesday 24 June 2025: In which the sky serves

This has been something of a vintage month for dramatic pre-dawn skies. But when the sky keeps serving this level of drama, who am I to argue?
