Wednesday 10 July 2024: Premature spud
This wee spud was pulled up from my back garden by the young foxes who visit my garden most nights. Although it’s still a good few weeks off my intended time of spud harvesting (which I’m hoping to do at the end of August), this potato was of a pretty decent size and shape already. And is it just me, or is there almost a smiley face pattern to be seen on its leftward side?
Saturday 20 July 2024: Wheel of fortune
My wife and I found this amazing and mint condition Wedgwood “Wheel of Fortune” tarot card plate in our nearest local charity shop for a price south of £1. This will likely be going up on the wall, once we can figure out a sufficiently safe way to affix it. What is your ultimate charity shop bargain (or thrift store bargain, if you’re from a part of the world where that is the preferred turn of phrase)?
